Pick up from your hotel in the morning/afternoon for a 40km drive past coconut and cashew nut plantations, and as you rise in altitude this landscape gives way to a beautiful topography of tropical forest with refreshing cool air, your first introduction to Shimba Hills reserve.
This reserve is home to the rare sable and roan antelopes which may be seen along with other animals during your game drive as you explore the reserve within the limited time.
Shimba Hills lodge is the only “Tree Hotel” at the Reserve, a fabulous timber structure buried deep in an ancient dense rain forest. |
