The group presently manages some 40 properties made up of 4 and 5-star city hotels, game lodges, resorts and luxury boutique hotels situated throughout South Africa as well as at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and on the Chobe River in Botswana.
The Three Cities Group also plays a major role in the future of the industry through its education and training facilities which include Hotel Schools in Durban, Cape Town & Johannesburg as well as two Bush Academies.
Three Cities Hotels was formed in 1988 as a hotel management and marketing company specialising in the top end of the market, primarily four- and five-star hotels. As positive trends developed in the early 90's towards greater political stability, Southern Africa was gaining acceptance as a prefered tourist destination. The Three Cities Group saw an opportunity to position itself in the leisure market while maintaining a firm foothold in city-based hotels, that being the group's roots.
The group went through various divisional changes over the next few years as new hotels were introduced to the group, affording it an extensive range of unique properties.
Three Cities Group now has four hospitality divisions for the benefit of both the travel consultant and the traveller. These divisions (City Hotels, Game Lodges, Resorts and Luxury Boutique Hotels) each have an identity of their own, supported by its own dedicated and dynamic team offering service excellence second to none.
