David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa - Livingstone, Zambia |
| |
The thunder of the falling water and towering column of spray. The Victoria Falls offers an inescapable closeness to the natural elements and it is this true grandeur that lends a backdrop to the regal David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa.
These great and famous falls, named by Dr. David Livingstone for his queen, Victoria, in November 1855, were well known to the indigenous peoples of Southern Africa by many names, perhaps the most meaningful being Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders).
It is with pride that Three Cities Group introduces the David Livingstone Lodge and Spa, a hotel that David Livingstone would have called home. Currently being constructed on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, this colonial styled structure will bring to the market 72 well appointed rooms and 5 loft suites that will accommodate a total of 154 guests in four star style. A state of the art conference centre, tropical swimming pool, restaurant and bar will ensure that guests needs will be comfortably taken care of.
A combination of activities, such as game, drives, helicopter flights over Victoria Falls, Zambezi River cruises, white water rafting, canoe safari’s, Bungi jumping, lion encounters and elephant back safari’s guarantee guests a spectacular safari experience.
David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa invites guests to step into pure natural luxury.

| Livingstone |
Livingstone is named for missionary and explorer David Livingstone. The main street of this quaint colonial town is the important Mosi-oa-Tunya Road, sections of which are lined with classic colonial buildings.
These Victorian tin roofed houses with wooden verandas, many of which are decaying, are a typical example of the English settler architecture. The spectacular Victoria Falls Bridge, which is only about 10km away from Livingstone, was completed in 1905 and settlers moved in to the higher ground at Livingstone to try and escape Malaria. |

The wilderness areas are pristine and the country offers its guests views of the African bush that have not changed for centuries. |
