The warm tropical waters surrounding the archipelago support an extensive variety of fish, coral, marine mammals and plants. Water temperatures range from 28 degrees Celsius in summer (30 degrees between December and February) to 22 degrees Celsius during the winter months. Our fully equipped dive and snorkel centre is based at the lodge, for all the necessary equipment
Home Reef
Approximately 800 metres from the lodge, one can explore our own man made reef, made of a sunken yacht and tractor. The structures may attract a variety of reef and pelagic fish species. This is ideal for novice divers. Duration: One hours, Depth: 7 – 12 metres.
Two Mile Reef
At the northern point of Benguerra Island, a narrow channel, separates the archipelago's second largest island from its northern neighbour Bazaruto Island . The reef is 2 miles east of the channel, It provides a variety of dive locations. Hard & Soft corals are in abundance, A huge variety of Reef Fish can be seen as well as Turtle, Reef Shark, Moray Eel, Grouper, Stingray, and Devil ray. Seasonally dependant Whale Sharks and Manta Rays can also be seen. Duration: Three hours, Depth: 10 – 20 metres.

Aquarium (Low tide only)
A pool within 2-mile reef features an amazing variety of fish, spectacular hard and soft coral, offers the finest diving and snorkelling for beginners. Duration: Three hours, Depth: 1 – 8 metres.
Five Mile Reef
Located five miles from Benguerra Island, this reef provides divers with the opportunity to spot Pelagic fish, Nurse Sharks have also been spotted there. Duration: Three hours Depth: 8 – 20 metres.
Margaruque Express
Located off the Island of Margaruque, where a strong current provides a brisk drift dive. Duration: Two hours Depth: 6 – 12metres.
Pipe Reef
Approx three kilometres from the lodge, this is a popular spot for novice as well as night dives. The rare Spanish dancer Nudibranch and Frogfish can be seen here. Duration: Two hours, Depth: 8 – 12 metres.
Cabo San Sebastio
For advanced divers, this reef is known for sightings of the seasonal Whale Shark and Manta Ray, Schools of Pelagic Kingfish and Barracuda may be seen as well as Stingray, Shark, Potato Bass, Moray Eel and Turtles. Duration: Full day 2 dives Depth: 20 – 40 metres.
