TEAM BUILDING
Having a team that understands the strengths and weaknesses of each individual is essential if the team is to excel in business today.
Lion Sands offers a number of exercises to build the required camaraderie and team spirit.
Each exercise can be completed individually or in conjunction with each other during your stay.
Riverbed Crossing
This involves the teams getting their landrovers across a dry riverbed (ranger driving and guests directing), using 5 planks of wood.
At no stage may the wheels of the vehicle touch the ground. If they do, the team has to go back to the start agian.
The planks are of different measurements making this a real brainteaser!
Bush Navigation Exercise
The teams are taken to a spot in the bush where they are issued with a map, a compass and a set of instructions. The teams have to navigate to a series of points until they arrive at the final point - another team's vehicle.
Blind Walking
Members in the team are paired off and each partner takes it in turn to lead his/her blindfolded partner through a predetermined route. This exercise requires trust in your partner.
Barrel Route
Each team has to get a 44-gallon barrel, from Point A (in the bush) to Point B (the lodge).
The teams are issued with a map and a compass but are also given a machete and rope. The team must strategise on the easiest and fastest way to get to Point B.
