Location: Lion Camp is situated near the north-eastern border of Zambia, within the South Luangwa National Park.

Access: International Commercial flights to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, with futher domestic commercial flights onto Mfuwe Airport.
Private charter flights direct to Mfuwe International Airport are also available.
Self drive to Lion Camp in 4x4 is also possible.

Departure Tax: Airport departure tax is levied for all flights in Zambia, payable in U.S. Dollars.

Immigration: Zambian Immigration and Customs facilities are available at Mfuwe Airport.

Visa Requirements: Visa requirments are subject to change. Please consult with your travel agent for the latest information.

How to Dress: During the day light comfortable clothes, shirts and khaki shorts.
During the evenings light jackets and long trousers.
Neutral colours are advisable for walking safaris as well as a comfortable pair of walking shoes.

What to Bring: It is important to remember items like hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, cameras, film, binoculars and mosquito repellant.

Health: Please ensure you bring adequate supplies of any prescription medicines you require. It is necessary to take Malaria Prophylactics while visiting ZAMBIA. Please consult your Doctor or nearest travel Clinic for advice.

Electricity: The camps have 220v AC generator powered electricity, and inverters available during the day and evening.

Wild Animals: Lion Camp, as a precaution to wild animals is elevated on stilts above the natural ground level. This special and unique design was created for your safety.
