CNN8 - Contrasts of Namibia - North

8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

This grand tour starts in Swakopmund and ends in Windhoek. Go on a visit to the Cape Cross Seal colony or a dolphin cruise from Swakopmund. A two night stay-over is also included in the Etosha National Park, one of the largest and most impressive game reserves in the whole of Africa.

The reason is in the Ovambo name Etosha, meaning "place of dry water". For most of the year a vast shallow pan, which used to be a lake the size of Holland, now shimmers a silvery bright-white from salt across its entire surface.
