Rated by many sports anglers as the finest freshwater fighting fish in the world, the Tiger Fish is found in the waters of the Upper and Lower Zambezi. It's one of 75 fish species found in the region.
Angling in this part of the world consists of fly fishing, spinning and bait-fishing.
The Lower Zambezi
The Lower Zambezi is relatively remote and offers one of the finest freshwater angling experiences in the world. Fishing is available at both of the SafPar safari camps at Kayila Lodge and Mwambashi River Lodge.
For dedicated anglers, Chongwe Fishing Camp is a private riverside lodge available on a timeshare basis from May to October.
The camp comprises a central open thatch dining area, a plunge pool and five well appointed twin-bed timber and thatch chalets. Each unit has its own en-suite shower and toilet facilities.
The area itself is scenically beautiful and is well populated by big game. Over 350 bird species have been recorded in the area.
