Fly-In Safari 10 Days / 9 Nights

Explore southern Tanzania’s wilderness highspots on this exhilarating 10-day/9-night fly-in safari. Experience excellent game viewing in the grass plains, wetlands, swamps and dense forest of Selous Game Reserve on guided walks, game-drives and river cruises. Discover Ruaha National Park’s rocky outcrops, mountain ranges and seasonal Ruaha River and enjoy excellent birdwatching. After your safari, spend four days relaxing on the pristine white beach at Ras Kutani, situated just south of Dar es Salaam on the Indian Ocean coast.

Day 1 & 2 : SELOUS GAME RESERVE
Upon your arrival at Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport you will be met by a CC Africa representative who will assist you in boarding your scheduled flight to Siwandu Airstrip. Daily flights depart at 14:30. From the airstrip a short game-drive transfer (10 minutes) will bring you to camp.  Activities include guided walks, game-drives, game-viewing river cruises and, subject to availability of boats, fishing on the Rufiji River.

Two overnights at Selous Safari Camp. Accommodation is in a tent on a raised wooden platform, with twin hand basins, outdoor shower and w.c. Your stay is on a full board basis including scheduled activities and park fees.

Day 3 - 5 : RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Jongomero Airstrip. From the airstrip a short game-drive transfer (10 minutes) will bring you to camp.  Activities include game-drives. Birding is excellent.

Spend three nights at Jongomero. Accommodation is in a tent on a raised platform with thatched roof, twin hand basins, showers and w.c.  Your stay is on a full board basis including scheduled activities and park fees. 

Day 6 - 9 : TANZANIAN COAST, SOUTH OF DAR ES SALAAM
After a morning game-drive and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Ras Kutani for your road transfer of approximately 45 minutes, to the Lodge.  Activities include snorkelling, body surfing, kayaking and guided nature walks. Optional extras include deep-sea fishing and horse riding.

Four overnights at Ras Kutani. Accommodation is in a banda (cottage) built from wood, bamboo and makuti thatching with hand basin, en suite shower and w.c. Your stay is on a full board basis.

Day 10 : DAR ES SALAAM
Day at leisure until your road transfer to Dar es Salaam Domestic or International Airport where our services end.  Guests wishing to depart from Ras Kutani after 18:00 can do so at the cost of an additional overnight at Ras Kutani.
