Make your way through the Bulembu/Josefsdal border post into Swaziland, open from 08h00 to 16h00 or the Matsamo/Jeppes’s Reef border post, open from 07h00 to 20h00.
On your leisure days, you will have time to visit the famous Swazi Candle, Ngwenya Glass and Mantenga Craft Centres. Day 2 - 3 : MKHAYA GAME RESERVE
Drive to Mkhaya Game Reserve today for your nature and safari experience. This is Swaziland’s game reserve for endangered species, offering wildlife in abundance including four of the Big Five. Enjoy unforgettable and intimate game encounters, drives and walks led by Swazi Guides. Laid out along the banks of a dry riverbed is the Stone Camp, in an area comprising tall fig, leadwood, sausage and knobthorn trees, with a lush under-canopy giving a year-round subtropical appearance.
The Camp is known as ‘Stone Camp’ due to the dolerite rocks used in the construction of the semi-open stone and thatch cottages. This unique style accommodation in its primeval setting offers guests the opportunity of really getting back to nature. There is no electricity in Stone Camp and all meals are served buffet-style under the thatched dining area. Special Swazi menu items are often included for adventurous guests.
