Self-Drive Tour 11 Days / 10 Nights
Explore cosmopolitan Cape Town and its many highlights, including Table Mountain, exceptional beaches and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, before proceeding along the eastern coastline to find the Southern Right whales just off Hermanus (seasonal). Continue to the lush Garden Route with its myriad adventure activities before finishing off with a Big Five safari at a malaria-free private game reserve in the Eastern Cape.

Day 1 - 3 : CAPE TOWN
You will be met at Cape Town International Airport by a CC Africa representative and transferred to the hotel/guesthouse of your choice. Spend two days at leisure exploring the Cape Peninsula in your rental car. We can pre-book any guided tours that you may wish to take prior to your departure such as Cape Point, Table Mountain or Winelands.
In your package we have included a two-hour 'hop on, hop off' guided open bus trip around the Mother City.
Three overnights at Cape Town Hollow (V) / Constantia Uitsig (L) / Cellars Hohenort (D) on a bed & breakfast basis
Day 4 & 5 : HERMANUS
Depart from Cape Town for the coastal town of Hermanus, situated in Walker Bay on the eastern seaboard. Hermanus is renowned for sightings of Southern Right Whales (seasonal). Some of the most southerly vineyards are situated around Hermanus, and hiking trails through the protected fynbos-covered mountain slopes provide ample alternative pleasures.

Day 6 – 8 : GARDEN ROUTE
Continue through the farmlands of the Overberg region to the Garden Route coastline. Drive the scenic back roads to explore the "real" Garden Route, then laze on some of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in South Africa. The area offers a variety of activities including boat-based whale/dolphin watching (seasonal), dense indigenous forests, mountain biking and walking to mention just a few.
Three overnights at Knysna Hollow (V) / Hog Hollow (L) / The Plettenberg (D) on a bed & breakfast basis
Day 9 & 10 : SAFARI
Drive east towards Port Elizabeth for your Big Five safari. The region’s relatively untouched landscape with its rolling, bushveld-covered hills and magnificent wildlife will satisfy the souls of those seeking the spirit of Africa. The Eastern Cape is rich in history, culture and diversity, and offers the traveller a unique wildlife experience in a malaria-free environment.
Here you have the choice of three superb Game Reserves, Kariega, Lalibela and Kwandwe.
Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is situated on a 20 000-hectare (49 000- acre) private reserve 20 minutes from Gramamstown. Experienced rangers will track the Big Five with you on morning and afternoon game-drives, and guide you on interpretive bush walks along Kwandwe’s privately owned Great Fish River banks.
Two overnights at Kariega (V) / Lalibela (L) / Kwandwe (D) on a fully inclusive basis
Day 11:
Drive to Port Elizabeth Airport to drop off your rental car, in time for your connecting flight. End of services.
