Day 1 – 7 : CAPE TOWN
You will be met at Cape Town Airport by a CC Africa representative and transferred to the hotel of your choice. Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel on day two. Your days are free to enjoy the golfing and magnificent attractions of Cape Town.
In your package we have included a two-hour guided open-bus trip around the Mother City. The tour includes the Waterfront and city centre, a stop at Table Mountain for a panoramic view, followed by a coastal drive back through Camps Bay. This is a ‘hop-on, hop-off’ service valid for the day, giving you a convenient means of accessing Cape Town’s major highlights, including a visit to Camps Bay beach.
Drive along the coast to Clovelly Country Club, an all-time favourite parklands course. One of Southern Africa’s most picturesque and challenging courses, it is famous for its rolling computer-irrigated fairways, undulating holes and magnificent landscaping. Return to Cape Town via Cape Point Nature Reserve. Test your skills at Erinvale, a Gary Player-designed championship course in the Winelands with several water features and a variety of different bunkers to make the challenge complete. Round the day off with a visit to a nearby winery or restaurant. Milnerton, Cape Town’s true links course, offers spectacular views of the mountain and Robben Island. New water features, bunkers and greens, together with the inevitable ingredient at a links course – wind – makes this course a real challenge. Don’t miss Arabella Golf Club near Hermanus. Built in 1999, but already rated in the top 10 courses in South Africa, this is a true gem. The layout is well balanced, the greens large and undulating and the terrain spectacular, bordering South Africa’s largest lagoon. If you are lucky, you might see whales along the coast.
Seven overnights at Cape Town Lodge (EV,) Acorn House (V),
Radisson (L) or Steenberg (D) on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 8 :
Drive to Cape Town Airport to drop off your rental car, in time for your connecting flight, or continue your self-drive holiday along the Garden Route.
